frontal cortex and birthday cake

They say that the pre-frontal cortex does not fully develop until early adulthood...

By they I mean scientists cause studies have proved this before...in other words the part responsible for our decision making and weighing the pros and cons is not fully awake till we're almost 25 years old...

I always felt that this isn't necessarily the case for me...

People always talk about how right after turning 25 they felt that "development" and I have always wondered...how?

Until I suddenly realized that I've made peace with a lot of things that would normally drive me crazy, I was letting everything be and just existing...

I don't know if that's me tricking myself into some kind of placebo considering I just turned 22 or if that's actually how it feels having a fully developed pre-frontal cortex hehe.

The funny thing is that it just suddenly hit me out of no where and for some reason the first explanation that came to my mind is "girl did your frontal lobe fully develop already?"

Sometimes I think if I wasn't nerdy would I still be smart lol.

Anyways, moral of the story is that apparently it feels nice wether it's the lobe or maybe I'm just more emotionally matured than I was...
